Event Fees Directory - Draw checks to Kelly’s Ford Equestrian Center. Returned checks $25 fee. All divisions: $160.00.

1. Entries:
 

All entries include a $25 non-refundable office fee. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 non-member fee with entry.  Refunds: Before C.D. Less $25 non-refundable office fee; Withdraws will not be honored unless E-mailed or mailed on or before C.D. NO PHONE WITHDRAWLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. After C.D. Entry-no refund.  Any late entries (if space allows) or changes made to entry after C.D. will be charged a $20 non-refundable processing fee.  No changes starting Wednesday before event. Competition cancellation-No refund. Entries limited to 150. Copy of Negative Coggins Test within 12 months required for all horses and must accompany entry!Late Entries after C.D. October 25, 2011 and up to Tuesday November 8, 2011 at 9 p.m. will incur additional $20 Late Fee. Please contact  Secretary above to see if space permits. Double entries: Not accepted. Faxed entries: Not accepted.

 

2. Tentative Schedule:
Fri: Cross-country course open- 3 pm.Sat: Dressage- 8:30 a.m. (T,N,BN) Show Jumping- 11:00 a.m. (T,N,BN) Cross-country- 11:30 a.m. (T,N,BN)
 

3. Awards:
1st Place Prize & 8 ribbons per division (Un-mounted Awards Ceremony at scoreboard directly after scores are “Official”). 

 

4. Starting Times:
Available on the website: www.GRCphoto.com or www.innatkellysford.com under Equestrian Center Events on Wednesday November 9 by 5 p.m.

 

5. Stabling/Veterinarian:
Limited Stabling on grounds. Call James Moore directly (303) 917-1488 or Kelly’s Ford Equestrian Center (540) 399-1800.  Veterinarian on site during competition day only.  Number will be posted at Secretary’s office.  

 

6. Accommodations:
Inn at Kelly’s Ford (On Site) (540) 399-1779. Camping available on-site. (540) 399-1800.

 

7. Directions:
Address: 16589 Edwards Shop Rd. Remington, VA 22734From North (Warrenton); Take US 29S (James Madison Hwy) for about 16 miles and turn left on Rte. 674 (Elkwood, VA-Post Office on corner) Cross Railroad Tracks and bear left onto Kelly’s Ford Rd. for about 5 miles. Do not turn left on Kelly’s Ford Bridge (You will see signage). Stay straight on  Edwards Shop Rd. Take first entrance to Equestrian Center on left about 1/3 mile down.From South: (Culpeper): Take US 29N (James Madison Hwy) for about 10 miles and turn right on Kelly’s Ford Rd. (Elkwood, VA & you’ll see signage for Kelly’s Ford). Go about 5 miles and road will become Edwards Shop Rd. as you pass Kelly’s Ford Bridge (Stay Straight!). Take first entrance to Equestrian Center on left about 1/3 mile down.From East; (Fredericksburg on US 17) From I-95 Take Us 17 North (Warrenton Rd.) for about 15 miles and turn left onto Sumerduck Rd. for about 8 miles and turn left on Kelly’s Ford Bridge (You will see signage). Turn Left on Edwards Shop Rd. after you cross Rappahannock River and take first entrance to Equestrian Center on left about 1/3 mile down.From East (Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania on Rte. 3) At junction of I-95 and Rte. 3head west toward Culpeper for approx. 19-19 miles to Rte. 620 (Shell gas station on corner). Turn right for about 2.5 miles to Rte. 610. Turn left for ½ mile to Rte. 620 (Edwards Shop Rd.). Turn right for about 5 miles and take 3rd right hand entrance to Equestrian Center (Not 1st entrance on right)! 

 

8. Dressage:
Test & Arena sizes: T-2010 USEF Training Test B-Sm.,   N-2010 USEF Novice Test B- Sm.   BN-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B.   M (Elementry or Maiden) =USDF Intro Test C- Sm,    I (Intro) = USDF Intro Test A -Sm.  All Dressage Tests will be ridden in small grass arenas.

 

9. Cross-Country:
T- 2400m @ 450 mpm 3’3” Max. Height with 24 efforts, N- 2000m @ 375 mpm. 2’11” Max. Height with 20 efforts, BN- 1800m @ 325 mpm  2’7” Max. Height with 18 efforts. All Courses:  Above average, horses should have some experience at this level.  Entire track is on flat manicured grass with some N & T obstacles in the woods.  
 

10. Other Information:
USEF Rules for Eventing will be enforced! Medical Armbands (Available from Secretary) and ASTM Approved Protective Headgear required for all jumping phases and Safety Vests required for cross-country phase! Cross-country will be course closed from Monday November 7, 2011 through Saturday November 12, 2011. Schooling open daily- $20 by appointment only. Call Kelly’s Ford Equestrian Center (540) 399-1800. Check website: www.innatkellysford.com for more information.  No unauthorized motorized vehicles allowed on course.  Concessions & Vendors will be available during show.  Divisions further divided if entries warrant.  Farrier will be on grounds during show only with phone number posted at Secretary’s Tent.  Dogs must be on a leash at all times ($50 Dog Impound X-C Jump Donation Fee if caught loose on grounds!).
